Submissions

Earth + Ether Press is actively building its bookshelf of titles that celebrate place. If you are interested in working with us, and your book meets our criteria, please email us with the title of your work, a synopsis/proposal, a brief bio, and the first two chapters.

• Quality historical fiction, mystorical fiction (featuring elements of historical mystery with an essence of magical realism), and general place-centric fiction. We especially like Southern fiction.
• Engaging nonfiction in the areas of historic and/or cultural preservation (especially Southern), economy of place, and the like.
• Illustrated children’s books and other books for young readers that highlight special communities or cultures, foster the preservation of historic and unique buildings, or promote place-awareness. Please be prepared to provide sample illustrations upon request.
